7:30: Second Chances, UF School of Theatre and Dance, Various Days – Times, Black Box Theatre (McGuire Pavilion) 1800 McCarty Drive. Directed by Dr. Judith Williams. A romantic musical about Chance and Trevor, two up-and-coming musicians with budding issues. Chance struggles financially, while Trevor is torn by the pressure to join his dad's law firm.



6:00: Midsommar, Hipp Cinema, Various days – times, Downtown. Dani and Christian are a young American couple with a relationship on the brink of falling apart. But after a family tragedy keeps them together, a grieving Dani invites herself to join Christian and his friends on a trip to a once-in-a-lifetime midsummer festival in a remote Swedish village.



7:00: Artwalk Gainesville, Downtown. Artwalk Gainesville is a free monthly self-guided tour that combines exciting visual art, live performance, and events in downtown Gainesville, Florida. 8:00: The Magnificent Ambersons, COCKTAILS & CLASSICS, One Night Only, Hipp Cinema, Downtown. A spat between wealthy, young Isabel Amberson and her beau, the brash inventor, Eugene Morgan, launches a chain of events that will haunt two families for generations in this Orson Welles classic. The price of a ticket will cover entry to the film, a specialty cocktail from our bar, and hors d'oeuvres before the show.



8:00: Bridget Kelly Band, Free Fridays Concert, Bo Diddley Community Plaza, Downtown. Inspired by classic and electric blues, the Bridget Kelly Band has placed their unique stamp on the blues genre with high-energy live performances, and a hybrid sound that mixes Texas and Memphis blues with various southern blues traditions.



8:30: PAVOROTTI, Hipp Cinema. Various Days-Times, Downtown. Created from a combination of Luciano Pavarotti's genre-redefining performances and granted access to never-before-seen footage, the film will give audiences around the world a stunningly intimate portrait of the most beloved opera singer of all time.




9:00: Fun 4 Gator Kids Back to School Bash, Celebration Pointe, NW Corner of I-75 and Archer Rd. Say so long to summer and hello to the coming school year. Celebration Pointe and Fun 4 Gator Kids are partnering up to bring in the school year in style. Another year of learning new things, making friends featuring local charity drives, school supplies exhibition booths from after-school providers and youth sports organizations with information, activities, and free back-to-school handouts. 1:00: Sh'mal Ellenbrg, ACLIB Author Series, ACLIB Headquarters meeting room, Downtown. Sh'mal Ellenberg will be reading and discussing his books A Families Journey with Alzheimer's Disease and Experiencing Being: Caregiving My Mother (A Son's Story). In these books, the author captures the experience of caring for his father with Alzheimer's and becoming the caretaker of his mother.




2:00: Art Beyond Bars, Harn Musuem Panel Discussiopn, Harn Museum, 3259 Hull Road, UF Cultural Plaza,  This free program is held in conjunction with the installation UnseenAmerica: Photographs from the Insidecurrently on view in the Chandler Auditorium. Arrive at 1:30 pm to view the work, created by adolescent girls incarcerated at a detention facility in Alachua County, prior to the program. The art installation and program are presented in partnership with the UF Center for Arts in Medicine, and is made possible with the support of UF Creative B.




2:00: Second Annual Ladies Day in Archer, Alachua County Library - Archer. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon and peruse beautiful jewelry, quality makeup and skincare products at the Second Annual Ladies Day hosted by the Archer Branch on Saturday, This year's festivities are moving to the Archer Branch Community Center at 16671 SW 137th Ave. The activities begin at 2 p.m. Relax and enjoy a chair massage with a masseuse from the Florida School of Massage. Each participant will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a prize. Visit the vendors and take a break at this relaxing event.



3:00: Kanapaha Botanical Gardens Guided Walk, Kanapaha Botanical Gardens, 4700 SW 58th Dr. Kanapaha offers a guided tour of the Gardens the first Saturday of every month, starting at 10:00 am. Regular admission price for non-members and members are admitted free of charge.

6:00: MindSpace Yoga with Kate Motto, MindSpace Collective, 834 E University Ave. T his 4-week series of Sunday evening yoga classes is designed for those looking to bring yoga into their everyday routine as well as prepare the mind and body for the week ahead. All practice levels are welcome (experience not required)! If you have a mat, please bring it with you. You may also like to bring a cushion and/or a towel to use as a prop.
